This is a collaboration, a friend of mine Magriet Meintjes lives in Africa on one of the safari parks and I admired a photo she had taken of this elephant walking down a road, she liked the way I change images with textures and kindly gave me permission to "play with it" and this is the result. I have tried to create a feeling that the elephant was charging through the savanna wind towards the viewer.
It is so sad that these beautiful animals are being hunted mercilessly for their ivory and I do hope that this one is still safe.
I guess I'm really a frustrated artist. I used to paint in pastels mainly, my favourite subjects being wildlife, portraits and realism and I have always been interested in photography. Then shortly after I retired I discovered Photoshop and realised that I could paint the pictures I saw in my mind digitally and I have been following the "Photo Art" direction ever since. I have recently embraced AI art and now most of my images are created in Midjourney, Photoshop and Topaz . I like all forms of Art, Abstract, photo realistic, Portrait, Landscape etc but my favourite is in Wildlife. Outside of my family and creating art, my main interests are music and Liverpool FC.

What a gorgeous animal and beautiful texture work, Brian. As you said, so very sad that these magnificent animals are being slaughtered for their ivory. Perhaps one day, people will come to the realization that they are worth much more alive than dead. I hope it happens before they are driven to extinction. L/fv/tw Happy Holidays to you and yours, Brian.
